Draw outline of frame

Draw the cat door frame on a paper board. Necessary tools: pencil, ruler, scissors, electric saw, drill, driver, double-side tape.

Cut down from paper board

Cut the outline of frame from the paper board with a scissors.

Draw on the door

Use a pencil to draw around the edge of the cut paper on the door. Generally, average installation height is around 4.0-6.0in.

Drill 4 corners for holes

Drill 4 corners for thorough holes with an electric drill.

Cut out a tunnel hole

Cut out the tunnel hole with an electric saw starting at holes drilled. It will be better to wrap around it with a layer of wood skin to protect the flap.

Cut down tunnel depth if necessary

If the cat door is too thick for your door, use a scissors or cutting machine to cut down some part of tunnel along the line A or B. The cutting scale is about 0.8-1.6in.

Mount to the door

Mount the cat door with double-side tape to the door. Tighten 8 bolts with a driver on both sides.

Done

Place bolt caps over the bolt holes, press them on. The installation is completely done.

Choose the Perfect Size for Pets!

• During the growth period of your pets, we suggest that you order a larger size cat flap.
• It's recommended that dogs should choose larger size than cats.
• Before order, please measure the waistline and the weight of your pets. If it’s not convenient, choose larger one directly.
• For thin doors/windows/sliding doors within 1.0 inch thick, please choose the ultra thin version of cat door. For glass door, please use special cutting machine.
